To make the initial and continuing costs of purchasing a home affordable to low and very low-income individuals and families. To provide home ownership programs and opportunities for individuals and families that cannot otherwise afford to purchase safe and decent housing. To rehabilitate, construct, develop and foster safe, decent and affordable housing for low and very low-income individuals and families. To combat community deterioration through programs and activities designed to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to low and very low-income individuals and families. To lessen the burdens of government by participating in and advancing federal, state and/or local government programs designed to foster safe, decent and affordable housing to low and very low-income individuals and families.
