Mackinac Straits Area Health

To act as a supporting organization of mshs by being organized and operating exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to carry out the purposes of Mackinac Straits Health system (mshs). In furtherance of this purpose, the organization's activities include, but are not limited to, arranging for Health care facilities for the provision of Health care services and related services to persons within the service area; making available in such facilities Health care professional and other services necessary for the care and treatment of patients; sponsoring, participating and promoting programs for patients and the promotion of Health of persons within the service area; engaging in scientific research and educational activities designed to promote and improve the general Health and welfare of the public; and carrying on activities to serve the medical needs of the community.
