To firmly implant in the youths of Pittsfield ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence, so that they may be finer, stronger, and happier youths and will grow to be good, clean, healthy persons. To achieve this purpose by providing youth of Pittsfield for the ages of 13 to 15, the opportunity to participate in an organized, surpervised, and competitive Baseball League. To further achieve this purpose by fostering the basic rule of all competitive sports - that is to develope the will to win but to acquire ability to lose and above all to learn to have the spirit to play again.
