Fostering good mental health in teens: No Shame on u reached over 3700 participants with mental health programming which supported teens and those who work with or love them:mental health trainings let camp counselors and staff foster good mental health among children and teens. Leaders learned of risk factors and warning signs-and created a positive environment that supported good mental health. Camp staff also developed tools to reduce their own stress. Sessions trained elementary, middle and high school educators on key mental health topics, from managing burnout to adopting an attitude of gratitude. Seminars provided mental health tools to middle and high school students, parents, and guardians. Sample topics included: language & stigma, how to support friends who are struggling, and resiliency. Our teen leadership board served as a leadership experience for a high school teens, educating them about mental health issues, empowering them to spread awareness.
