(a) To stimulate and foster interest in the sports of Rowing, canoeing, kayaking and similar Olympic sports among amateurs as individuals and in clubs sanctioned by the University of Cincinnati. To publicize the manifold advantages of these sports as a means of health, physical, and leadership development and education of University students. To promote interest through competition and the holding of interstate and intercollegiate regattas. To engage in every reasonable endeavor for the advancement and building up of these amateur water sports in accordance with the best traditions of intramural and intercollegiate University sportsmanship. (b) To cooperate with interested schools, colleges and universities in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area, as well as with athletic organizations in the region, to promote and develop a comprehensive Olympic water sports center located in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, on property adjacent to the Little Miami River.
