The Organizations focus is to assist as many needy Jewish families with essential necessities such as clothing and shelter subsidies, medical expense subsidies, legal assistance, educational assistance, and limited cash assistance for specific hardships. Accordingly, the Organization is structured to only provide needy Jewish families and indigent persons with basic assistance and discretionary direct financial assistance. In accordance with IRC Guidelines and Revenue Procedures, all direct cash assistance distributions and related programs are reviewed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors every month, the indigent's circumstances are documented, and volunteer Rabbis follow-up with the financial and personal situation of each recipient to ensure that all authorized expenses conform to the organization's exempt and religious purposes.
