EIN 47-4841675 · Snapshot of IRS recognition, filing currency, financial health, and governance.
Five Points Cultural Commission seeks to combat community deterioration, lessen neighborhood tensions and provide opportunity for low income populations that often lack access and opportunity - we do this through revitalizing deteriorated neighborhood corridors and providing subsidized commercial opportunities in renovated spaces. We rehabilitate deteriorated properties in low income neighborhoods. In the process of carrying out that exempt purpose, we lessen neighbhoord tensions by improving communities that feel neglected, offer job and entrepreneurial opportunities where they did not exist, or offer places for people of different racial and socio-economic backgrounds can interact, which offers opportunities for eliminating prejudice through interaction. Finally, we provide relief for the poor and underprivileged through creating economic opportunity and increasing the value of businesses and residential properties in our community.
