To uphold and promote the welfare of Harvard university, in cambridge massachussetts (hereinafter referred to as the "university"), as an educational institution, especially in Fairfield County, connecticut, in the following ways:(a)by providing a medium through which alumni of the university and residents of Fairfield County may contribute to the welfare of the university;(b)by providing scholarships to Harvard college for qualifying candidates;(c)by cooperating with other charitable organizations in promoting the welfare of the university;(d)by encouraging the enrollment of qualified students in the university;(e)by facilitating , initiating and participating in programs and projects aimed at maintaining and fostering a continuing interest in and material and moral support for the university on the part of its alumni and residents of fairfialed County.
