For individuals with life-limiting illnesses that extends to their families and those acting as caregivers. Our purpose is to help people maintain dignity and control over their own lives and care. Our goal is to enhance individual's quality of life through effective pain and symptom management. We provide comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care that is tailored to the individual's and family's needs and wishes. These services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of compassionate experts led by a physician and includes nurses, social workers, aides, spiritual care counselors, music, art, and massage therapists, and bereavement counselors. We acknowledge and embrace religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity. In addition to clinical care we also provide medical supplies, equipment, physical, occupational and speech therapies related to the individual's primary diagnosis. Services are provided in whatever location the individual calls home. Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. Hospice Buffalo is committed to providing services in the community, so no one is denied care due to inability to pay.
