20th Century Consort Inc

The mission of the 21st Century Consort is to present outstanding live performances of important new chamber music to dedicated and engaged audiences in the Washington D.C. Region; to curate programs related to the exhibitions and collection of its resident home the Hirshhorn Museum; to engage in educational activities that enrich the public understanding of contemporary music and that encourage its creation by young people; to commission works from emerging and established American composers; and to create a public recorded audio and video archive of every concert.
