Professional organization for Utility and Regulatory finance field. Primary function is to provide an annual training forum to the membership. The SURFA Board of Directors and leadership is comprised of volunteers from the membership. The SURFA Annual Forum includes the Cost of Capitol Workshop (Tuesday) and Forum (Thurs-Fri) with guest speakers set up in various topical panels. We also provide a professional designation-The Certified Rate of Return Analyst (CRRA) certification offered in-person on Wednesday during the Forum week. The Forum, workshop and exam are held in a national hotel which also includes sit down lunch and dinner with guest speakers, breaks with snacks, and educational tour. Membership of 173 in TY 2024.For the 2024 55th Financial Forum: 71 attended, 15 took the CRRA, 12 attended the Workshop. During the year, we provide on-line training with quarterly webinars available free for members and modest fee to non-members.
