The center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is a non-profit global organization that works to strengthen democracy and build competitive, resilient markets in many of the world's most challenging environments. Working alongside local partners, CIPE helps to raise the voice of business in policy making and reduce barriers to economic participation, resulting in greater accountability and opportunities for all citizens. CIPE's extensive partner network includes business associations and chambers of commerce representing millions of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises from nearly every sector. Through the creation of business agendas, data-rich resources, and other initiatives, they play a leading role in helping governments and communities address complex challenges. Among the key focuses: combating corruption, economic security, access to information, trade facilitation, advancing women's economic empowerment, and supporting youth entrepreneurship. Founded in 1983, CIPE is a core institute of the national endowment for democracy and a non-profit affiliate of the u.s. Chamber of commerce. CIPE is a global non-profit organization committed to strengthening democracy and creating economic opportunities through work with an extensive network of local Private sector partners. Together we create new models for impactful initiatives that are being duplicated around the globe: effective anti-corruption approaches, accessible women's business resource centers, practical advice for countries in need of foreign investment, and ways to simplify trade. By innovating around challenges, we are also identifying opportunities and building both democratic and economic resilience. This also reinforces trust in the role of business to be a logistical and strategic problem solver and partner.
