Premier program - camp friendship, a sunday through friday summer camp offered several times throughout the summer, is for kids who have Cancer. It's designed especially with their needs in mind.however, in 2022 Carol Jean Cancer foundation and medical personnel decided not to operate an overnight camp for children ages 6-18 suffering with Cancer. Reasons for this decision were significant. Ongoing covid 19 impact remained active, with health complications, especiatly for children with health risks. Hospitals and medical personnel (doctors, nurses, medical support teams), special medical supplies, specialists, food, bedding, camp staff and counselors, etc. were all needed for each session. During the covid 19 outbreak, a shortage of everyone and everything was significant. Thus after over 25 years of operation, the decision was made for camp friendship, in summer 2022, to remain inactive.
