Services include, but are not limited to, identification and development of Academic Leadership talent and programs enabling them to be successful in their roles and to advance the institutions they serve; consultation to Academic leaders and boards of trustees concerning the issues facing higher education and its governance; and assistance during periods of administrative Leadership transition. AALI offers direct grants to its supported organizations, the American association of state colleges and universities (aascu) and the council of independent colleges (cic).
