To conduct or sponsor programs to recognize and increase public awareness of the courage, dignity, productive, and outstanding achievements of physically disabled persons, and the needs of such persons; to counsel or provide useful information to physically disabled persons, to assist them with dealing with their disabilities and to promote the development of self esteem and positive self image by such persons; and to initiate, promote, assist, encourage, develop, maintain, conduct or carry on activities to increase knowledge of all phases of disabling injury or disease affecting human beings and disseminate such knowledge to physically disabled persons and the community at large.
