Steel Joist Institute

To develop, establish and maintain standards for the design, manufacture and erection of Steel joists, to promote and assist in the development of and erection of Steel joists. To promote and assist in the development of building code regulations for Steel Joist standards and to disseminate information relative to the proper use of standard Steel joists in the interest of public safety. To aid and promote by lawful means the use of standard joists and betterment of the Steel Joist industry, to serve as the regulatory body for the Steel Joist industry.
