The foundation is responsible for preserving, maintaining and improving the farm land and the historic structures on the property to comply with applicable conservation easements that were given to historic green springs, inc. and later assigned to the national park service when the green springs national historic landmark was created. A major renovation commenced on the depot house, a structure orginally built as the cobham railway station depot. It was dismantled, moved, and reconstructed on bracketts farm in the 1920's. Additionally, the process of renovating the historic pony barn was initiated, with the goal of transforming it into a future visitors and education center complete with restroom facilities.
