The primary purpose of the organization is to support nursing needs in treating patients in a manner consistent with quality health care; to provide an information network for Nurses in the Managed health care industry; to act as a liaison between Nurses, physicians and hospitals with other health care professionals, as well as, academia government, the pharmaeutical industry, insurance carriers, and management personnel participating in Managed health care; and to enhance societal awareness of the cost/benefit advantages of appropriate medical care services in a Managed health care system.
