Meherrin Volunteer Fire & Rescue Inc Engine Co No 5

The organization's mission is to provide fire and ems services to Meherrin, va and the vicinity in rural prince edward and lunenburg county. The most significant activities of the organization include operation of a licensed va ems agency and operation of full fire services, including vehicle extrication. Furthermore, the organization controls wild land fires and rural structure fires. The organization maintains facilities in the community to assist in emergency disaster response and recovery as resources allow.
