With approximately 550 members, the objective of the Northern Virginia GUN Club is the encouragement of organized legal small arms shooting among citizens of the United States with a view towards a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improve marksmanship. We encourage the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance that are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism. We provide an opportunity for both members and guests within the Greater Northern and Central Virginia and Southern Maryland areas to participate in rifle, shotgun, pistol and archery sporting events. We offer the use of our facilities to Boy Scouts of America troops and packs in the region in achieving their goals. We support youth shooting groups in King George and surrounding counties through sponsorship of various youth shooting programs
