Community Bankers of West Virginia

The organization encourages the American system of independent banking and strives for the advancement, safeguarding, and the preservation thereof by encouraging the continuation of the dual system of state and national banking which recognize the autonomy of the States in banking matters; opposing monopolistic, multiple banking practice as being detrimental to the public interest; seeking to extend the usefulness and influence of our banking system and the strengthening of our economy through closer cooperation and greater uniformity of action among the independent Community Bankers in West Virginia; promoting new, more versatile and service conscious ideas, better business methods, and high ethical standards; advocating and assisting in the enactment of better state and federal legislation for the protection of the public and independent Community banks.
