To provide the best possible fire & medical protection to the residents of flat rock and the surrounding communities under the mutual aid plan as set forth by the county of surry, and the policies set forth by this Department.to provide fire protection, medical assistances, fire safety education services to our community.to promote interest in all matters pertaining to the Volunteer service and to promote welfare and safety of all firefighters.to instill a love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue, honor and self sacrifice, to the spirit from which the early days of Volunteer firemen in the rendition of service of the highest type in the protection of life and property from fire or medical without hope of fee or reward.to promote the improvement and advancement of the flat rock community and residents, both within our community and surrounding surry county in the state of north carolina.
