SWART-Wilcox House Museum

The organization's mission is to stimulate the use and enjoyment of the SWART-Wilcox House Museum by maintaining an association of persons interested in the Museum; to develop and continue educational programs that promote life-long learning & appreciation of local history; to cooperate with the city of oneonta, ny, in developing activities related to oneonta's history and the history of the SWART-Wilcox House, the oldest building in the city; and to encourage the general public and other organizations to participate in supporting and using the historical programs and projects developed and offered by the SWART-Wilcox House Museum in order to appreciate the on-going historical significance of the leatherstocking region of New York state and of the city of oneonta in particular.
