The purpose and object of this organization is to provide efficient and highly trained Fire and EMS services to residents, and visitors who live and/or conduct business within the Brewster-Southeast Joint Fire District which is located in Putnam County, New York. The Brewster Fire Department Inc. maintains a roster of approximately 125 members (Fire and EMS). Of the 125 Fire and EMS members who volunteer their time, 100 of these members are classified as "Active Members" as defined under the Department's By-Laws. The "Active Members" of the Brewster Fire Department provide Fire and EMS protection services to over 20,000 residents, covering over 34 square miles. The "Active Members" of the Brewster Fire Department are highly trained, and respond to over 3,000 Fire and EMS calls each year.
