DBA: Lexington Womans Club
EIN 57-6033918 · Snapshot of IRS recognition, filing currency, financial health, and governance.
Lexington Womans Club was organized on April 7, 1958, and was federated as a member of the General Federation of womens clubs on may 1, 1958, with 21 charter members. We are also associated with the General Federation of womens club South Carolina. With our motto, work today for a better tomorrow, the newly formed clubs objectives were (and continue to be) to create a common interest for the improvement and welfare of our community, social enjoyment and self-improvement of the members, and to cooperate with other organizations for the promotion of the common good. Our colors are red and white, and our emblem is the mirandy rose. In the early years of the club, meetings were held in the homes of members. We currently meet monthly at the Lexington county public library, 5440 augusta road, on the 2nd Monday of the month from September through may. Our club year runs from may through April.
