Nittany Beagle Rescue takes in beagles, Beagle mixes, and other breeds of dogs being surrendered by owners. We also accept dogs from shelters and other rescues that wish Nittany Beagle Rescue to place the dog. We ensure that all dogs are vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and altered (unless our veterinarian recommends the dog not to undergo surgery). Nittany Beagle Rescue pays for this veterinarian care if it has not already been done. Dogs we accept that need additional veterinarian care or other care are also provided for by Nittany Beagle Rescue to the best of our ability. We also help foster homes with expenses associated with fostering to the best of our ability. Dogs brought into Nittany Beagle Rescue are then placed for adoption unless the dog is not adoptable. Non-adoptable dogs are placed in permanent foster homes. Nittany Beagle Rescue continues to provide the veterinarian and other care for the animal. All programs are currently in existence.
