JW Jones Ecological Research CTR

ResearchResearch programs at The Jones Center at Ichauway focus on understanding the ecology, restoration and management of the longleaf pine ecosystems and the water resources, wetlands and aquatic ecosystems of the southeastern Coastal Plain. The Center's Research is integrated under three programmatic areas: Woods, Water and Wildlife. In 2024, 27 graduate students were CO-advised by The Jones Center at Ichauway scientists, and scientists served on review committees for another 16 graduate students. Last year, Center scientists contributed to 48 publications, including 37 peer-reviewed articles (published or In Press) in scientific journals. The Research staff also participated in 132 Scientific presentations.
