For more than a century, the ymca ("the y") has strengthened communities by responding to critical needs and supporting individuals and families. As a cause-driven organization, the y recognizes that each community has unique needs and adapts programs and services accordingly. Through education and workforce development, water safety and drowning prevention, outreach that fosters inclusion, and partnerships with healthcare providers to prevent chronic disease, the y delivers programs that build healthier, more connected communities. In all its work, the y promotes caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility-ensuring individuals of all ages have the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
