The Sarasota Performing Arts foundation's mission is to create and sustain a vibrant Performing Arts center, advance education, and enrich communities by inspiring minds through the power of the arts. The foundation has provided arts engagement to schools and communities since 1987. Through a partnership with the van wezel Performing Arts hall and its own programs the foundation serves over 40,000 students, teachers, families and community members each year. The Sarasota Performing Arts foundation is leading the vision to build a new Sarasota Performing Arts center in partnership with the city of Sarasota, and in collaboration with the bay park conservancy and van wezel Performing Arts hall.
