Statement of Program Service Accomplishments - The organizations primary purpose is to provide quality youth programming for girls ages 11-14 in high-needs communities and under-resourced schools. Through our GEMMS Mentoring program and GEMMS Double Dutch extension we address girl aggression and promote positive self-identity self-esteem self-regulation and healthy peer interactions. GEMMS Double Dutch also offers structured physical activity and tools to reduce stress. All activities follow FOUSs four core program design principles: safe supportive interactive and engaging environments to strengthen healthy development in participating girls.
