To promote, foster, and encourage closer relationships among its members, improve working conditions, better understanding between its members and the governing powers of thoroughbred racing. A dinner held to bring together Turf Writers and broadcasters with breeders, owners, and other members of the thoroughbred industry to help understand the problems of the thoroughbred racing. With appox 170 members the association is the largest professional journalistic organization in horse racing.
