Our purposed is to certify disabled veterans to scuba dive at no cost to the student. We work with local veteran groups to identify AND interview potential veterans for the program. After they have medical clearances, we teach scuba diving skills through classroom AND pool environments. The certifications take place off the coast of California AND are overseen by the volunteer staff of Aqua-NUT Divers. Once certified the veterans are encouraged to continue their scuba education with other scuba classes Aqua-NUT Divers offer within the program I.e. advanced AND rescue diver. Veterans are also trained to use specialty scuba equipment to increase their knowledge of scuba activities. Aqua-NUT Divers is committed to diver safety AND strives to have a student to staff ratio of 2:1. To encourage veterans to continue diving, we charter dive boats throughout the year for any veteran certified in scuba diving to dive for free the day of the charter.
