Womens Care Center of Bartow Inc

The women's care center, a non-profit 5013 organization, was founded as an outreach ministry of Bartow's first baptist church in 1992. We offer transitional housing and support services for women and their children throughout polk county. Since opening, the women's care center has provided support services for approximately 10,000 women. We not only provide them with a place to call home as they begin healing from the trauma they have experienced in their own personal lives, the women's care center also provides women the opportunity to feel safe and accepted as they work toward developing new skills that will enable the residents to live independently and have a fresh new start. Our residents are here for many reasons: escaping a domestic violence situation, job loss and financial hardship, as well as leaving unhealthy relationships where there is substance abuse.
