International Lunar Observatory Association

The purpose of the ILOA is to expand human understanding of the cosmos through observation from the moon. In 2024, ILOA was involved in the following activities:ilo-x successfully landed near the south pole of the moon on february 22, 2024, as the first usa mission to land on the moon in over 50 years.ILOA conducted 4 galaxy forum events for teachers, astronomers of all kinds, student and the general public. Galaxy forums were held in silicon valley, California (july 3, 2024), hutchinson, kansas (august 24, 2024), scarsdale, New York (october 11, 2024), and wenchang hainan, china (december 8-12, 2024).
