To promote private land conservation in the Buffalo national River watershed through the acquisition of conservation easements which restrict the use and development of the land in order to protect water quality by conserving riparian areas, conserving wildlife habitat, preserving historical and cultural properties and places, and maintaining the character and recreational user experience of the national park by protecting view sheds from development.
