Please see previous years filings Statement 2 but in brief: The Association is organized exclusively for educational purposes, including the following: To encourage and facilitate the establishment of educational programs regarding the environment; to disseminate information about sources of material and equipment; to expose the natural environment, its use and protection, to the public; to provide information about environmental conditions for well informed, comfortable, well prepared excursions into the woods and mountains; to encourage and lobby for access to public outdoor resources for low impact recreational activities, to promote comradery and humanity through exposure to different individuals, regions and cultures.
