MYSTIC Krewe of Barkus

Barkus is organized to raise awareness for humane treatment of animals, spaying and neutering of pets, homeless animals and working/rescue dogs. Barkus conducts activities to raise public awareness and makes grants to organizations that prevent cruelty and raise awareness for humane treatment of animals, spaying and neutering of pets, homeless animals and working/rescue dogs. There are related smaller events during the year to organize and thank volunteers. All membership fees and charges in excess of expenses and above the anticipated needs for the following year's event are distributed to animal sensitive non-profit organizations.
