Oklahoma City Museum of Art

The mission of the Oklahoma City Museum of art is to "enrich lives through the visual arts." the Museum accomplishes this mission through its many activities. The Museum actively collects works of art and displays them in galleries open to the public. The Museum's permanent collection forms the basis for special exhibitions on art historical topics and is used to conduct research and disseminate new scholarship to the general public. The Museum hosts special exhibitions organized by other institutions permitting a range of subject matter and works of art outside the scope of the Museum's own collection. A diversity of educational programs-ranging from tours, classes, in-gallery experiences, and lectures-are geared to visitors of all ages. The Museum is accessible to individuals with physical and sensory disabilities.
