It is the mission of okcare to improve the quality of life of children in the state of Oklahoma, especially those who require placement outside their homes; to formulate and promote standards for quality child care services and practice; to facilitate the education of child care professionals and to engage in and promote study and research concerning the care of children. Fall conference promotes members to come together for collaboration and training. Okcares pays for training, lunch and breakfast for two days and for large rooms to meet in. Legislative breakfast is a time members go to the Oklahoma state capital and meet legislators. Okcare and members do not lobby. Okcare want legislators to be informed which foster care/Residential Agencies are located within their voting area. If a member wants to attend the legislative breakfast, they will buy a table. Okcare provides breakfast, rents a room, and provides a trophy for the lawmaker of the year.
