The Houston Saengerbund continues to follow its mission of cultivating the futherance of German song and music, to preserve the German language, to promote the society's life, and to convey good German customs and morals. Normally, rehearsals take place every week and performances at an average of every three weeks. Approximately 2,500 persons attend the performances each year. The Houston Saengerbund also supports the Saengerbund kickers, a community soccer club as well as numerous organizations in Houston who contribute to preserving the German culture.
