The mission of the Texas society of oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is to continually enhance the quality and value of health care. To achieve this mission the society embraces the following methods: "promoting optimal patient care according to the guidelines outlined in the parameters of care, developed by and for the specialty of oral and Maxillofacial surgery. "maintaining the specialty's position as the pre-eminent provider of oral and Maxillofacial surgical care. "establishing and maintaining a state organization of the highest caliber that serves all eligible oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Texas. "maintaining a strong and open communication between the academic community and private sector to provide the highest quality care to all patients. "ensuring optimal patient care by requiring that each member completes the office anesthesia evaluation every five years.
