Rio Grande International Study Cent

To preserve and protect the Rio Grande-rio bravo, its watershed and environment, through awareness, advocacy, research, education, stewardship and bi-national collaboration for the benefit of present and future generations. In 2023, the Rio Grande International Study center (RGISC) undertook numerous impactful projects across environmental advocacy, water security, air quality, and community engagement. These initiatives, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners, furthered RGISC's mission to protect the Rio Grande and promote environmental justice along the u.s.- Mexico border.
