It is the mission of the Weslaco Youth Football League (WYFL) to teach, develop and promote good sportsmanship, respect for self and others, team work and leadership skills through participation in Football and cheerleading. It is our goal to offer this opportunity to the children of Weslaco and the surrounding communitites by not discriminating based on superficial factors such as height, weight, and/or athletic ability, as well as financial limitations. WYFL also wants to ensure that the Youth who participate in our programs excel on and off the field and maintain high academic goals as well as excellent classroom behavior. We will offer a summer flag Football program for Youth ages 4-13 years of age and a fall flag, ages 4-5, and tackle season, ages 6-11. In addition to regular Football seasons, our organization will also host tournaments to allow us to allocate funds to be able to provide protective equipment for our Youth such as helmets and shoulder pads, as well as other equipme
