The organization (HCRPC or Club) maintains and operates a Rifle and Pistol range facility for the benefit of its members and, to a limited extent, the general public. The primary purpose of the Club is to promote safe and responsible participation and involvement in the shooting sports and outdoor activities such as wildlife conservation and habitat management. The public is invited to attend certain educational (Hunter Education. Junior Rifle Program and Public Sight In Days) and competitive events (5 regularly scheduled shooting matches). Educational opportunities include Range Officer Training, Hunter Education and a library of periodicals relating to firearms and other outdoor activities. Donations to charitable organizations such as the USO, Christ's Haven for Children, Tarrant County Food Bank and Tarrant County Meals on Wheels are examples of the giving conducted by the Club. The Club has provided educational opportunities for youth members by sponsoring the Junior Rifle Program
