Robert Lee Volunteer Fire Department

The Robert Lee Volunteer Fire Department (RLVFD) provides rural and city fire protection and prevention. RLVFD assists local emergency services with vehicle extraction at accident scenes and landing zones for medi-vac helicopters. RLVFD also provides assistance to other area fire departments. RLVFD is provided by volunteers, there are no paid employees with this organization. Monthly meetings are held for training purposes and then the Department responds to fire calls. There are times when only 2 hours a month are needed for training and other times many days of fighting fires are involved. The Department is funded through donations, grants, and local governments providing some funding.
