To promote American heritage by encouraging and assisting in the conservation and preservation of artifacts, specimens, and cultural and natural features, such as structures and sites.to disseminate educational information to the public and to conduct symposia and meetings for the purpose of preserving and enhancing American heritage.to discourage and curtail the destructive exploitation in California of cultural and natural resources.to stimulate greater public interest in and understanding of the ralph Milliken Museum, its functions an operation, and to increase public support for the financial well-being of the Museum.to encourage and assist in the maintenance, improvement, and expansion of the ralph Milliken Museum.to receive donations of buildings, sites, and obejects of significance to the study of American heritage and to preserve and administer them for public benefit.to collect, accept, hold, and administer gifts of money, securities, or other property of whatsoever character
