The ymca champions for child protection, comprising ymca ceos and alliance directors, are dedicated to leveraging the y movement and other youth organizations to enhance child safety measures, particularly against sexual abuse. Their mission is to foster a culture of safety, elevate accountability, and position the ymca as a leader in child protection. Their strategies include promoting discussions on the y's role in abuse prevention, supporting the enhancement of policies and practices through y-usa's efforts, advancing policy changes with state alliances, and boosting community engagement via the annual five days of action campaign.
