Teams serves children in seven parishes in north west louisiana. Bossier, bienville, caddo, claiborne, desoto, red river, and webster. Navigating the school system is difficult for many families. Parents struggle with knowing what steps need to be taken to start the process for their child to receive Education support. This process typically begins with an sblc (school building level committee) meeting. Teams advocates assist the parent in setting up and attending the meeting; this gives parents a first-hand understanding of the process.
