Through volunteer service and assistance with basic needs, to dignify the lives of poor people on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. We will endeavor to strengthen bodies, raise spirits, respect the people and cultures of our place, and encourage hope and respect in those not reached by formal systems. The Mustard Seed will receive, hold and disperse gifts, pledges and other funds in support of the mission, rent, own or maintain real estate and personal property for its purposes, and to do all things necessary incident thereto. It is supported by donations. Its specific and primary purposes are to demonstrate by our actions that all human beings are deserving of respect and compassion, to provide a gathering place where all may feel welcome, to assist the poor of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation with basic necessities, especially those not available from existing community resources, and to assist the poor by distributing donated goods that will enhance their quality of life.
