ANIMAL SHELTER/ANIMAL RESCUE, TNRThe Cedar Creek Sanctuary is located in the town of Fonda, Iowa with a current population of 636. The sanctuarys mission as a no kill shelter is to rescue injured and special needs cats off the streets of our community and to provide the necessary vet care for them so that they can eventually be adopted into forever homes. This goal is carried out daily at the shelter which houses in a cage free environment twenty to thirty cats at any one time. We also engage in a trap-neuter-release program to control the cat population which has prevented 100s of new cats populating the streets. A group of community volunteers assists with the trapping and ongoing care of feeding and providing shelter for the feral cats. Our small shelter annually operates on $10,000-20,000 per year, entirely run by volunteers with no paid employees. We have filed faithfully every year on the 990N ePost card. Our board of directors offer a wide variety of views and talents. Board mem
